A woman who demands further gun control legislation is like a chicken who roots for Colonel Sanders.
I do not believe in taking away the right of the citizen for sporting, for hunting and so forth, or for home defense. But I do believe that an AK-47, a machine gun, is not a sporting weapon or needed for defense of a home.
Jewish voters care. They want someone who’s good on Israel and who’s good on Jewish issues. But they also want somebody who’s going to be pro-choice and pro-gun control and pro-gay rights. To the vast majority of the Jewish community, just being good on Israel or on Jewish issues is not enough.
That the said Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press or the rights of conscience.
This battle for ‘common-sense’ gun control laws pits emotion and passion against logic and reason. All too often in such a contest, logic loses. So, expect more meaningless, if not harmful, ‘gun control’ legislation. Good news – if you’re a crook.
When they come for your guns, give them the ammo first.
The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise, they will win and the decent people will lose.
If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.
I’ve always been progressive on social issues: pro-choice, pro-gun control, and pro-gay rights – even when I was a Republican. The big difference is that I once believed the private sector would address America’s social problems. But then I saw firsthand that this wasn’t going to happen.
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.
I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people except for a few public officials.
