Reading The Scriptures Quotes

I have discovered a few things that help me when God seems silent…
– Press in to God when you want to pull away.
– Praise God out loud when you want to get lost in complaints.
– Put yourself in the company of truth (reading Scriptures and surrounding yourself with positive, Godly people.)

I would never discredit reading the Scriptures, but it is important to meditate on it.

Through reading the scriptures I realized there was a purpose for my life, that I was created for a reason, that I was significant, that it was my choices that got me to where I was at and that it would be my choices that would get me to where I wanted to be as well.

Truth cannot be given to you; especially if you are following an organized religion, then truth will be as far from you as darkness is from light. Truth is not found by observing rituals, undertaking pilgrimages or reading the scriptures. It is simply a waste of time.

The whole world is charged with the glory of God and I feel fire and music under my feet.

My yoke is easy, and my burden light.

I hear people all the time say, well I read through the Bible last year. Well, so what? I’m all for reading through the Bible. But how much of that got on the inside, or did they just cover three more chapters today? I would never discredit reading the Scriptures, but it is important to meditate on it.

Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ.

Spirituality is no different from what weve been doing for two thousand years just by going to church and receiving the sacraments, being baptized, learning to pray, and reading Scriptures rightly. Its just ordinary stuff.

I am blessed to receive a word from God every day in receiving the scriptures and reading the scriptures. And God speaks through the Bible.
